Enrico Fermi recognized Majorana himself as having «a superior intelligence». How much has this story influenced your career path? «Ettore Majorana, my grandfather's cousin, was an absolute genius. Having the same name is a great incentive for a science enthusiast like me. I have always been concerned with promoting research, he was able to read nature like few others in history. If he were here today, I am sure he would be very interested in this third way of nuclear power. For his ability to see beyond, to imagine what did not yet exist. He intuited things about quantum physics that we are only now beginning to truly understand. Innovation is this: not being satisfied with what exists, looking for a new path." Could Italy be the first country in the world to implement this technology on an industrial scale? "Yes, we have what it takes: research, industry, know-how. With the courage to believe in it and the right support, Italy could be the first country in the world to bring LENR out of laboratories and into everyday life. And Kilometro Rosso could become the global center of this revolution." How long will it take? "Within six months we will have a prototype tested in an industrial context.
